Physical Therapy may be needed, if difficulty gaining pain free range of motion or weakness of the neck muscle is not alleviated by resting or reducing moving pain.(see glossary for definitions).

Muscles become weak when they are in pain. Many times the strength returns to the muscles after the resting pain and moving pain are managed. If these are not managed, then physical therapy is a very viable option.
